Associate Principal's Message
Hello Frederick Douglass family!
It is with great honor that I have this opportunity to work with the students, families, and community of Seaford School District.
My career in education began over twenty years ago. I started as a Paraprofessional at Howard T. Ennis for three years in the Indian River School District. As I gained experience working with students with special learning needs, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a science minor from Wilmington University. My first teaching experience was at Laurel Middle School as an 8th-grade science teacher for 2 years. I then took a position as an 8th-grade science teacher at Beacon Middle for the next sixteen years. In 2020, I moved to Seaford and was fortunate to work at Seaford Middle School as a 6th-grade special education teacher. This is my third year as Associate Principal at Frederick Douglass Elementary School and I could not be more proud to be here!
During my career, I also earned three master's degrees: Administration, Teaching the Gifted and Talented, and Technology. My Ph.D. is in Educational Technology where I focused on collaborating in digital activities. I am a lifelong learner and am always ready to learn something new!
I have taught for Wilmington University for seventeen years, Delaware State University for eleven years, and Wor-Wic Community College for three years.
I would like to echo Mrs. Leveillee’s main focuses: Respect, Responsibility, and the Right to learn.
